Natalie Rae is a BAFTA-nominated, Oscar-shortlisted, Peabody Award-winning director and double Sundance Film Festival award winner based in New York.

Her debut feature documentary, DAUGHTERS, the culmination of an eight-year journey, premiered at Sundance in 2024, where it won both the U.S. Documentary Audience Award and the Festival Favourite Award. Described by IndieWire as “a 10-ton wrecking ball in motion”, the film was acquired by Netflix and went on to receive a BAFTA nomination for Best Documentary, an Academy Award shortlist placement for Best Documentary Feature, and the prestigious Peabody Award. Variety also named it among the Best Movies of 2024.
